Luxembourg will top-up the provincial allocations to these priorities with a four-fold contribution, allowing the national health plans in Bokéo, Bolikhamxay, Khammouane and Vientiane provinces to be implemented, and local heal departments to reach their goals and address related challenges. The mission brought together representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), the Embassy of Luxembourg in Laos, Lao counterparts, and LuxDev to discuss ways to strengthen and expand development cooperation between the three countries under the MoU signed between TICA and LuxDev in 2025. The delegation visited several Luxembourg-supported initiatives in Vientiane Province: the Skills for Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry (STAF) Programme; Rule of Law, Access to Justice, and Good Governance (ROLAG) Programme; Local Development Programme (LDP); and Health and Nutrition programme, gaining first-hand insight into development results and opportunities for future partnership. The visit concluded with a renewed commitment to deepen cooperation and promote sustainable development in Lao PDR.
