In the margins of the CCM Conference, we met with longstanding partners in Laos, in the region, and across the world, including the United Nations, HALO Trust and the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining. Our side-event on victim assistance in partnership with PUA shed light on the importance of meaningful participation of survivors. On 17 September 2026, the Ministry of Justice launched the Legal Aid Website, a new platform connecting people across Lao PDR with legal information, assistance, and Legal Aid Offices. More than a website, it is a bridge between people and justice, helping individuals understand their rights, access support services, and know where to turn when legal help is needed. This initiative is supported through the partnership between the Ministry of Justice and the Rule of Law, Access to Justice, and Good Governance (ROLAG) Programme, financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and jointly implemented by the Ministry of Justice and LuxDev, the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency.
