Visit of the Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Luxembourg to the Luang Prabang World Heritage Office
The Director of the Luang Prabang World Heritage Office Mr. Saveuy Silavanh and his team last week welcomed the Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Luxembourg to their office.
Luang Prabang has been recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage site since 1995. It represents an outstanding example of the fusion of Lao traditional architecture and urban structures with those built by the colonial authorities in the 19th and 20th centuries. Its unique, remarkably well-preserved townscape illustrates a key stage in the blending of these two distinct cultural traditions.
