The signing of construction contracts for 14 school buildings in Vientiane Province
Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Dr. Kikeo Chanthaboury and Chargé d’affaires of Luxembourg in Lao PDR Mr. Claude Jentgen today witnessed the signing of construction contracts for 14 school buildings in Vientiane Province. The new school buildings include 7 primary schools, 4 lower secondary schools and 3 kindergartens for a total budget of 7.5 billion Kip (ca. 750,000 EUR).
The school buildings are funded under the Local Development Programme for Bokeo, Bolikhamxay, Khammouane and Vientiane Provinces (LAO/030) implemented by LuxDev - Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency . The programme is also funding new schools in the remaining three provinces: In total, 39 new school constructions will be launched in 2018/2019.
