The first institution in Lao PDR to receive ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate on Management System.
The Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment is the first institution in Lao PDR to receive ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate on Management System. The award ceremony was attended by Mr. Sam Schreiner, Chargé d’Affaires of the Luxembourg Embassy in Vientiane, Dr. Kikeo Chantabouly Vice-Minister of MPI, Olivier Hecquet, Regional Representative of Luxdev, development partners and senior officials from other Ministries.
This achievement is the culmination of the Capacity Strengthening of the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Department for International Cooperation project LAO/028 supported by the Luxembourg Development Cooperation in Laos.
The closing workshop of the formulation of a new project of Lao-Luxembourg Development Cooperation was held as well. In continuity of Lao/028, the 4-year project project Lao/033 will aim at strengthening the capacity of the Department of International Cooperation of the MPI and the SDG Secretariat within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
