The excellent relationship between Luxembourg and Lao PDR
Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Luxembourg Sam Schreiner paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Minister of Health Assoc.Prof.Dr.Boungkong Syhavong today. The excellent relationship between Luxembourg and Lao PDR , as well as the longstanding and strong partnership in the development of the health sector have been discussed. Luxembourg supports Lao PDR in the health sector through the comprehensive Lao-Luxembourg Health Support Programme 2014-2020, as well as the Local Development Programme 2016-2021. Further support is given through the UN Joint Programme in maternal and child health, through the Lao-Luxembourg Lab in the Institut Pasteur and through projects implemented by Caritas Luxembourg and Aide au Développement de la Santé Luxembourg. Lao PDR benefits from several regional and global projects funded by Luxembourg , such as the Social health protection in South East Asia ILO-Luxembourg Project, GAVI.
