Luxembourg connects rural development experiences in Laos and Vietnam.

Last week, Lao central government and provincial officials from four provinces – Bolikhamxay, Bokeo, Khammouane and Vientiane Province – participated in a study visit to Hanoi and Thua Thien Hue Province, observing achievements and cooperation modalities of the highly successful Climate-Adapted Local Development & Innovation Project (CALDIP, VIE/033), a four-year project jointly funded by the Governments of Vietnam and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The aim of the visit was to build upon the experiences and lessons learned of this project to ensure that the new Local Development Programme for Bokeo, Bolikhamxay, Khammouane and Vientiane Provinces (LAO/030) will become a success. The Lao delegation was led by Deputy Minister of MPI Dr. Kikeo Chanthaboury and Director general of the Planning Department, MPI, Ms. Phonevanh Outhavong.
