Launch of two new Luxembourg-supported flagship UNDP Programmes

Chief Helen Clark launched two new Luxembourg-supported flagship programmes together with H.E. Dr. Souphanh Keomixay, Minister of Planning and Investment, and in the presence of the
Luxembourg Embassy in Laos
.
The two
UNDP Lao PDR
projects include a support programme for the implementation of the 8th National Socio-Economic Development Plan, as Laos strives for graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which was signed during a Board meeting later this week.
The second programme supports the implementation of national SDG 18 on removing the UXO obstacles to development in Lao PDR.
