The Grand Duke

The country of Luxembourg is a parliamentary democracy in the form of a constitutional monarchy. As the head of state, the Grand Duke has only those powers specifically conferred by the constitution and laws of the land. He embodies the unity of the nation and is the guarantor of Luxembourg’s independence.
